Gathering

My friends
here we meet in the name of Jesus Christ

we bring our past
and all we need to redeem

we bring our present
and all that shapes us now

and our future too
full of longings and hopes

and here we fold them together
in a love that stretches between them

May we gather
in the redemption of the past
the life of the present
and the promise of the future
a sacred place
touched by the hand of heaven
and holding us all
