OUR ORGANISATIONS

New Kilpatrick is a busy congregation. Here are most of the groups that make up the life-force of the congregation but every group, every single one, is open to anyone in our community. We're not just for members.

  • AFTERNOON GUILD

    Every 2nd Tuesday at 2pm in the New Halls

    An informal and relaxed group taken round the world with a world of speakers.

  • BADMINTON CLUB

    Every Monday 2-4pm in the Old Halls.

    No need to turn the heating on as you won't need it! No membership, just come along.

  • BAKERS

    We've discovered a lot of world class bakers belong to the congregation who provide for Coffee Pot (every Friday) and special occasions.

  • BOOKCLUB

    Second Wednesday of every month.

    A lively discussion with a large group exploring culture and story and ideas.

  • BOOKSTALL

    Every Sunday

    New books and cards for all occasions after the service every week in the New Halls.

  • BOYS' BRIGADE

    Various days throughout the week.

    The local BB is run by a partnership of congregations. Check their website for all the details.

  • BRIDGE

    Fridays 6.30 in the New Halls.

    Teams of four with memories better than most.

    Check with the office (mail@nkchurch.org.uk) about waiting list.

  • COUNTRY DANCE

    Every Monday, 7.30, New Halls

    Not just for those who know their pa de bas from their strathspeys but for anyone who knows fun and keep fit and culture all go together.

  • CRECHE

    Every Sunday during the Service in the Walkround.

    We run a creche each Sunday morning when Sunday School is on for babies to 3 years old.

  • DAYBREAK

    Every Thursday, 1.30, New Halls

    Our group that supports those with some degree of memory loss. It is a cross community group.

  • DRIVE TO CHURCH

    Every Sunday.

    We try to help as many as possible to come to church and always look for volunteers.

  • FLOWER DISTRIBUTION

    Every week

    We give away flowers to a number of homes each week supporting those with a need or concern this week.

  • EVENING GUILD

    Every 2nd Tues, 7.30, New Halls

    Along with speakers and activities there are a host of events, food, fairs and special meetings, and open to everyone, not just members.

  • CHURCH FLOWERS

    For Sunday's and Festivals.

    Join the team that creates arrangements each week or just a vase with a few stems.

  • COFFEE POT

    Every Friday at 10.30, New Halls.

    Given the number of bakers we have (all of them fabulous) we thought we'd let them loose on the nation every Friday. Open to the whole community

  • FESTIVALS

    Creating ways to increase our community engagement and working in partnership with traders and voluntary groups.

  • GARDENING GROUP

    Every Friday 9.30, Manse

    Not looking for green fingers but enthusiasm to create a space for the whole congregation to enjoy.

  • HERITAGE FORUM

    Last Thursday each month.

    Tying together the stories of the past to shape our present. An open group for all.

  • JUNIOR FELLOWSHIP

    Every Sunday 10.30 Lounge 

    For all secondary pupils, exploring faith, life and community with sport, food and trips thrown in.

  • BREAKFAST CLUB

    Six times a year.

    Help out the group that feeds a congregation before we worship.

  • CHURCH CHOIR

    Thursdays & Sundays

    Leading worship with concerts too, but without voice tests, just the enjoyment of singing together.

  • LAST SUNDAY CHOIR

    Last Sunday each month. 9.45

    Only one rehearsal on the morning for those who like singing but too busy for weekly practice. Open to all.

  • NK CHORUS

    Tuesday evenings, Choir Room, 7.45

    A small choir designed for those who like to perform two concerts each year. Open to whole community.

  • THINK AGAIN

    Series on Tuesdays (Check orders)

    Daring to ask the questions the church has disallowed in the past and exploring faith through discussion and debate.

  • MAGAZINE

    Quarterly

    All the news, photos and information about the life of the congregation. To contact the editors for inclusion of articles phone or email the church office.

  • MAGAZINE DISTRIBUTION

    Monthly

    Distributing monthly Bulletin and quarterly magazine in your own time. Volunteer by contacting the office.

  • MENS ASSOCIATION

    2nd Tues evening, 7.30 New Halls

    A unique group of men that offers a plethora of insights and experiences open to anyone in the community.

  • PARISH VISITORS

    In your own time

    Our parish visitors take the church community into people's homes every few weeks with a chat and informal catch-up.

  • PRAY NK

    Weekly

    We produce a weekly prayer list for the congregation to use as part of their own prayers. You can subscribe by emailing the office.

  • RAMBLERS

    Regularly on Saturdays

    Always an open invitation to anyone to join the Ramblers on a variety of walks on Saturday and occasionally Wednesdays.

  • RECORDED SERVICES

    Weekly

    We record services on CDs for all who find it difficult to come to church or would like a recording of a special service.

  • REFUGEE RESPONSE

    In response to need

    A cross-community group finding ways to build relationships and respond to refugee needs.

  • SingSong

    1st and 3rd Friday of month

    1.30-3pm in New Halls

     

    Our new dementia-friendly community choir. Come for a relaxed singsong and cuppa, all welcome.

  • SUNDAY COFFEE

    Weekly

    Perhaps the most important part of Sunday where we create community in the echo of worship. Volunteers always sought to serve.

  • SUNDAY SCHOOL

    Sundays during service

    Age group learning across various halls, with crafts, activities, stories, and projects.

  • WAGS

    Working Age Girls

    1st Sunday of the month  7.30pm  55 Bar & Grill

     

    An evening of lighthearted blethering, occasional trips, and open to the whole community.

  • PRAYING & READING

    Every Sunday

     

    Real people who don't think they can, bring their hesitancy and vulnerability to our worship through leading prayers for others and reading the scripture for the morning. If you feel called, able to to this please contact the office.

  • FAIRTRADE STALL

  • CHRISTIAN AID

    Throughout the year

     

    From concerts to collections, coffee mornings to breakfasts, Christian Aid informs us and engages us with the wider world.

  • SECOND HAND BOOKS

    Daily in the Walkround

    Purchase then return. A plethora of novels, some you've probably been looking for for quite some time. All just £1.
