Healing Service

Each month we hold a healing service in the evening. It is 40 minutes of honest and safe space for people to bring themselves as well as the invitation to bring the needs of others.

We silently pray and then invite people, only if they feel comfortable, to take part in some actions which can be understood in different ways either as symbolic actions or very real. In fact they are all real. It's just we handle them in different weays in our brain.

We offer the laying on of hands while everyone says a short four line prayer for each person who come to kneel at the front.

There are other actions such as lighting candles, creating a prayer tree of name sof people we pray for and seek healing for, we offer oil with which to anoint self or other.

Mostly we offer a sacred space for the promsie of wholeness. We don't expect magic. WE expect love found in the support of each other; peace offered in a community that cares even if we don't know you, and we offer calm in a place that has weathered so many crises over 800 years and still stands, still welcomes, and is still a place of faith.

6.30 on Sunday evening in the chancel of the church. Safe and welcoming.
