Advent Posters

I've been putting together some posters for Advent and Christmas advertising all our events. there are quite a few, but in amongst the celebrations are the real stories of Advent and Incarnation.

This year we are taking our theme as the Songs of Incarnation which starts next Sunday (29th Nov) and while getting ideas together, it became clear just how much the words of those biblical singers, like Mary and Hannah and Zechariah and Isaiah vividly place and ground a dream in our contemporary world today as much as their own. Their words are real today, at least we hope they are. The expectation and vision they sing of, is not just for their time, but ours full of fear and migration and questioning and a world unbalanced. So these Advent posters, which quote the biblical songs the four characters sang are based on images of migrants from across Europe and for whom these songs are sung. May they hear them. May WE hear them.
