Summer Services

Summer worship: I've been having a wee think about what to explore together during the summer both at the 9.30 and 10.30 services. Last year we has 'Female of the Species' and the year before that we did Jacob and Esau, then before that Moses, and before that David and before that Joseph.

Any thoughts for this year? I did wonder about 'Bizarre Bible' where we could visit some of the weirdest bits (not all that easy!), or 'Bible & Sons' where we look at the lesser known sons of characters. Or there is a whole set of stories, I am sure, that connect with modern films from Harry Potter to Les Miserables.

Of course we could do something a little less unusual about go for Parables, or People who questioned Jesus, or even animal stories in the bible.

Then again we could just do a random series of stories where one week we ask folk to think what they'd like to do next week. That sort of appeals where we can't plan that far ahead, but respond to people's needs at the time and how the world affects us.

I'm up for most things so if any of these appeal or there is another more original idea that hasn't been tried, or you might see this an an opportunity to offer up some passage you haven't read or heard about for ages, then just go ahead. Let me know by leaving a comment here or emailing mail@nkchurch.org.uk

Whatever happens it is going to be great...
