SATURDAY 18 NOVEMBER: We're hosting a fabulous Gala Concert for Beatson Cancer Charity in the church at 7.30pm. Believe it or not we've got:

Alastair McDonald:

the one with the mustache and banjo.

Andrew McTaggart:

the one who's baritone voice is sublime.

Ancuta Nite-Doyle & Quintin Doyle:

the really famous ones on TV with cello & piano.

The Blue Notes:

the ones from the High School of Glasgow.

Pupils from the Music Theatre Course at Dance School of Scotland:

the ones who have more energy than is natural.

Glasgow Islay Gaelic Choir:

the ones who can sing and speak Gaelic at the same time.

Pupils from the Music School of Douglas Academy:

the ones with more musical talent than all the rest of us put together.

Compere: Judith Ralston

The one on the BBC weather forecast and is also a musician.

Tickets, wait for it, are only £10 and that include a glass of wine. Where do you get such amazing value and talent for that price anywhere else.

They are available from Kirsteen Maclean or through the church office (942 8827, or Purple Edge and Iron Chef.

Seriously, what else could you do on Saturday to better that.

See you there. The others that are going are expecting you.
