Harvest

October 6, 2016

This Sunday is Harvest so lots of possibilities to respond to each other across the world.

We'll have Christian Aid Harvest Appeal envelopes available again. These can be brought to church if you received one last week or filled on Sunday.

We have an appeal to bring items of food for Glasgow City Mission that can be stored, so nothing fresh. Also any items for Womans Aid such as drawing things for children.

We have breakfast (9.15) to share together where we will celebrate creation and community together and build good relationships with each other and create more just community.

We have communion after the service and in the afternoon as well where we take the grain of the land and discover heaven crammed into every crumb. Then w e share it with the justice God longs for for all creation.

And we reflect in the evening. A simple drawing of breath. A moments peace. A sabbath, which is what we all need from war, hunger, unfair trade, injustice.

There are indeed a lot of possibilities this Sunday and if we choose to follow any of them, then even more possibilities the rest of the week.
