For the days you will always remember
Whatever has brought you here, a phone call is the best place to start. We’ll take it from there, together.
Funerals
We are so sorry.
There is no right way to do the next few days, and you don’t have to know what to do. We can help.
Usually your funeral director will contact us for you. Or you can call us yourself on 0141 942 8827. You don’t need to belong to the church, and there is no charge for a funeral.
Our minister takes the funeral, and will come and see you first, at home or wherever suits, to listen as you talk about the person you have lost. The service grows out of that conversation: their life, your words, the music they loved.
The funeral can be here in the church, at the crematorium, or at the graveside. And grief doesn’t end with the funeral: each year we hold a service of remembrance, and you will be invited.
Weddings
Congratulations.
We’d love to help you make your promises here, under windows that have watched couples say “I will” for more than a century.
You don’t need any connection to the church to be married here. Every couple is welcome, and we’re glad to marry same-sex couples.
From first call to the day itself

Tell us your date. We’ll check the church is free.
2
Meet the minister
A conversation about you two, and the service you’d like.
3
Give notice
At least 29 days before, through the registrar. The minister will help.
4
Rehearse
A walk-through in the church, usually the week before.
5
The day
Bring the schedule from the registrar. We’ll do the rest.
Music
Photographs
Costs
There’s a fee for the organist and the beadle.
Baptisms
Welcome to the family.
Baptism is a sign that God’s love comes first, before anything we say or do. It’s for babies, older children and adults, and it usually happens during Sunday worship, so the whole congregation can make its promises too.
You don’t need any connection to the church to ask for a baptism.
The minister will meet you first, to talk it through and plan the day together.
Renewal of vows
Saying it again.
Ten years, forty, or after a hard season come through together: some promises deserve saying twice. A renewal can be as small as the two of you and the minister, or a full service with family and friends.
You don’t need to have married here.
