OUR COMMUNITY

There is usually something on just when you are looking for it. New Kilpatrick is where seeking and doing connect.

New Kilpatrick is not just a Sunday morning thing.

It is a community that fills a week — with music, friendship, learning, laughter, and the particular gift of people who have decided to show up for one another.

Been around all your life, or lingering outside wondering if you might find a place here?

We think you will.

Come and see.

FRIDAY MORNINGS

Coffee Pot

From 10am, every Friday

Home baking. A blether. An open door. That is genuinely all there is to it — and it turns out that is more than enough. No agenda, no programme, no reason to come other than that you like cake.

It is, by some margin, the easiest thing we do. It is also, by some margin, one of the most important.

THURSDAY AFTERNOONS

Daybreak

Every Thursday 2pm

Activities and friendship for those living with some degree of memory loss — and for those who love them. A warm, unhurried space where everyone is known by name and welcomed exactly as they are.

We don't fix anything here. We just show up, week after week. It turns out that matters more than fixing.

And the rest of the week looks like this

Some of it is quietly profound. Some of it is just simply good fun. Most of it is both.

There is quite a lot here, but space for more.

We've been here doing this a long time.

New Kilpatrick has stood on this hill through the Reformation, monarchs and revolutions, through war and peace, through every kind of human moment. We carry that history with gratitude rather than nostalgia. It is not what defines us but it is like a foundation stone: from these we grow and learn and continue to become who we are called to be. It reminds us that what we are doing here has always mattered — and that the people who gather on this hill today are part of something considerably longer and older than themselves.
Ready to belong?

There is no form to fill in or test to pass. The easiest way to join New Kilpatrick is walk through the door. You'll get a hello and we'll do the rest.
