Gathering

Please bring all you are
please bring the pains you hold
the hurts you have
the burdens you carry
because here is the place
to lay them down
and leave them behind

Please bring the grudge
the story, the history
we each have towards our neighbour
and lay them down
and leave them here
for here is the place
to  be set free in each other

so let us shape the kingdom of God
in love and forgiveness
and turn to our neighbours
and extend our hands
and share the peace with the simple words
“peace be with you’
that sets us all free in Christ
