pRAYER

We post a daily prayer every day on the website and you can go here to read it, reflect or just pause in this strange landscape in which we find ourselves.

News about members

Sadly we received news this week that Olive Veitch died in the past few days.

She was comfortable and family were able to be with her.  Our prayers and thoughts are with them all at this time and we will celebrate her life along with Betty Moran when we are able to gather again as a congregation.

Lots of familiar faces.

Vestry Hour

We're inviting everyone to join us for informal chat on Thursdays from 6.30-7pm on ZOOM which is a social media meeting place.

We'll catch up and discuss and laugh and we'll get as many on line in the coolest vestry hour there has been.

Click here to sign up to ZOOM - it's free!

think again

online

As we engage our faith in this different medium we are developing plans for an online discussion group. We've moved it from the chapel to a sofa near you (at least it will be warmer).

We'll offer more details during the week about how we will do this but we're not giving up on the Deep Thought that comes with the ground we are standing on right now.

foodbanks

There are particularly vulnerable folk all around us, in our street and beyond where we are. Please keep looking out for your neighbours but if you want to extent that we have a variety of opportunities to support local food banks online or by text.

rainbows

updated

tuesday

We are creating a gallery of rainbows for the church windows.

We hope to be able to display a plethora of rainbows made in everyones homes and a photo emailed to the church. There they can be safely printed out and safely hung in the windows to shape a gallery of colour and hope.

volunteers

Might you be willing to help buy or deliver food for some of our isolated folk?

If you are you are able to help and are not in any of the 'at risk' categories then contact the minister firstly or you can join the Bearsden:Milngavie Coronavirus community assistance group on FaceBook.

online Sunday school

We're trying to organise some children's activities online. We are going to link in with SU online resources but will send out an email to all parents when we have that sorted.

Appeal

There is the possibility to help create scrubs for NHS. Its a new appeal for seamstresses who can use a pattern to create these gowns. You can find out more on the Facebook page here.

What about gardening? Those who don't know much can learn from those who do so here's a page with questions and answers and suggestions

Please email in your gardening questions and, those who know, your answers and suggestions and we'll post them on the page.

A ready reckoner for all of us who need the exercise, have the time but not the know-how.
